Please help us
recognize volunteers and staff who have had a positive impact on
Towers Elementary School!
Nomination Form
The nominating committee for Towers Elementary School PTA will be
meeting in the near future. To help this committee in making
selections for nominations, would you please give them your ideas
for offices for our PTA? Please take a few moments and write your
suggestions on the ballot, fold your ballot, and place it in the
School Office (PTA) mailbox on or before January 20th.
You may suggest more than one name for an office or may leave some
slots open.

NEED A NEW CAR???
The Torrance
Education Foundation's 2012 Lexus CT -200h raffle is HERE! Only
5,000 tickets will be sold districtwide!
TEF has designed
this year's raffle to be an amazing fundraising opportunity for TUSD
teachers and schools. For every $30 ticket purchased, TEF is
donating $20 back to the TUSD-approved school group of YOUR choice!
School groups include individual teachers (ie. "Ms. Lee, Towers),
schools (ie "Towers), specialty rooms (ie "Towers Library" or
"Towers Computer Lab") etc. If you are unsure if your designation
is an approved school group, please check with the office. The
winner ticket drawing is March 23rd at TEF's Annual "Celebrate
Education" Dinner (winner need not be present to win).
Tickets are
available for purchase at Towers several ways:
1. Each
classroom should soon have a designated parent with tickets to sell
to your class. Contact your Room Parent if you are unsure who has
your room's tickets.
2. Tickets will
be sold at the Scrip table on some of the Scrip days. On those days
when not at the Scrip table, see #3...
3. Secretary
Nancy Horvat has extra tickets in the office if you prefer to pop in
there and purchase one.
4. Visit
TorranceEducationFoundation.org and download the ticket order form
from the website, fill it out, and mail it in with your check.
Please take
advantage of this excellent fundraising opportunity for our Towers
teachers and school, and purchase your Lexus Raffle ticket TODAY!!!!
TEF: Annual Campaign
You will be receiving an Annual Campaign flyer soon from the
Torrance Education Foundation (TEF). TEF continues to enrich TUSD
education by funding District-prioritized needs within our schools.
Please consider donating to this vital partner in Torrance

TEF Update!
The "Early Bird" incentive date is
looming for the TEF Lexus Raffle! All ticket booklets with
payments that are handed into the office by Wednesday, February
1st will result in a TEF donation check to the designated
'school group' on February 17th. Remember, only 5000 tickets will
be sold district-wide!!!
More ticket booklets are available in
the office ready to be signed out. Parents may sign out booklets to
sell to friends and family outside of Towers as well... just
remember to have them buyers fill out the "school group" designee!
